snow snow snow!!! we have about 6 inches here last night and today with a bunch of freezing rain to top it off and make things real fun!  let the cleanup begin--not me with my back though-haha

snowday home for the kids today with a very early dismissal yesterday. they no sooner got to school when they came home!  9:30 for pat and 10:30 for sienna.  the snow was just starting at 7am when pat was getting the bus and i was walking the dog-if it had started just a little sooner i bet they would have delayed then canceled. it is so deep out there with an ice crust they cant even sled good yet-keep telling them have to keep at it and pack it down but they come right back in.  patrick wanted me to go over to his cousins to pick up his snowboard he left there last night-well good luck with that-it is somewhere in the yard buried-lol

time to bake some cookies!

 

i am so mad-i forgot to set the VCR for the 2 hr seasom premire of Alias tonight-!!!!  AGHHHHHHHHHHH..  for some reason TV Torrents site has been down and the other UK site does not yet have it posted-hopefully tomorrow.

1st snow!  not that there is much but enought to make things a little sloppy here. It is not yet sticking to the roads and stuff (although there were a few spots on the way home closer to the side of the roads and up on Winchell Mt. that had some small patches to watch out for) but it is in the grass, and on the cars and in the trees-really pretty. They are saying this is going to be a rough winter for us. When i left work this evening there was about an inch of wet snow to brush off the car.  Patrick thinks he is going snowboarding on the hill tomorrow-LOL.  1. There is not enough out there yet (might be by am though-local radio said possibly 2-4 inches) and 2. even if there is a foot out there he is still grounded!  That will be until report cards come out on the 22nd if it is better.  Besides-he has a bedroom to clean!  Sienna did really well on her report card.  For that we are going to go see The Incredibles this weekend.

For me this weekend I have the usual catch up around the house and then we have to get plastic out on the windows to seal up for the winter. For tonight though i will play some games online (addicted to Phlinx on AOL) and maybe do some reading.

won at pool this week-not sure where out team is ranked, i forgot to look at the sheet.  It was funny though-we were playing at a place in Wingdale.  We didn't have a sitter so I took the kids with me.  Luckily it was one of the nicer places and more family like, but when we walked in guess who was there?  Sienna's teacher--LOL it was so funny.  She and her friend were playing darts with patrick and sienna-it was good because it kept them busy while i played and they didn't have to be bored.  normally they are at the house with the sitter and which ever one of us finishes first-mike or I, we leave to go home and the same goes on the few nights they have had to come with.

well i am gonna go before this turns into a novel-lol.  also need to make sure patrick is not sneaking TV

Well what a crazy few weeks it has been for me.  Unfortunetly alot of it has been due to my back pain. Runnign between work and physical therapy appointments and doctor appts.  yikes!  event got to the point where i flat out missed a few days of work  last week because of it.  But, looking forward and feeling a little better this weekend.  Finally getting some stuff done around the house-what a disaster after not being able to keep up with it!.  Finally had my appoint with the pain management doctor last week after waitng like 3 weeks to get in.  So here is how the world of pain management works I guess.  The see you, say yeah-we recommend this nerve block for your pain-come back in 1 month for it! Well that really sucks! Then the kicker was after I did go back to work after being out a few days last week, the new benefit packages are out for open enrollment AND THEY SUCK!!!!  So basicly I go the the orthopedic in a couple weeks and if he thinks surgery will help I am gonna say doit before the year ends becuse I wont be able to afford it next year thats for sure!  And you want to know the saddest part of this health insurance mess?  I WORK FOR THE DAMN  HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY-AND  ITS NOT A SMALL ONE!!!!   

Well enough of my venting, it is a dark cloudy fall day here and I am looking out the window at a yard full of gold colored leaves and I am nice & cozy inside with candles burning around the house!

  yeah-weekend time.  can't believe it has been a week since i posted.  for a short week it has been a busy one!  kids went back to school on tuesday, so that has been fun-trying to get back into the routine again.  didn't get a lot done last weekend-had extra kids almost the whole weekend. no extras this weekend-i need a break!    i did't play at pool league this week. my friend mari from work had a surprise b-day dinner out that i went to-had been planned before i was added to the team. league didn't go too well for the rest of the team though  better luck this week i hope! 

my son is moping around right now-he is bored.  his sister is in a better mood at least but they are still bugging each as usual.  she is focused on me going out to the grand union to get her salt & vinager chips-lol now she is saying she is going to pass out if i dont get her chips now-so dramatic she is-there she goes!  i just dont feel like going anywhere right now.

we have a wedding to go to next friday evening-my cousin maryann is getting married-

well time to eat dinner-wish i had ordered a pizza instead of cooking

Yeah the weekend is finally here-with a bonus!  3 day weekend-whoohoo.  Pretty sad that we wish out lives away waiting for the weekends-huh?

Pool League went great on Wednesday.  I was really nervous but I won!  Played another woman and with our ranks, for either of us to win we had to win 2 games.  I lost the 1st game on the 8 ball-i bounced off the rail and into the wrong pocket.  Then I won the next 2 to take the match. Not bad for the 1st time out!  I wont be going this week though-I have prearranged plans but that ok.

Well i am getting tired-think i am gonna close for now and do whatever
